Multi-Purpose Room (MPR) Rental
Use and Features:
The Multi Purpose Room (MPR) may be rented by BAVC members at the Producers Bundle ($125) level and higher for production, screenings, auditions, fundraisers, meetings, and other similar events during our regular business hours. To request a reservation, please read the following guidelines and complete the form located at the link above. We will get back to you promptly.
The MPR is available from 10am - 6pm Tuesday through Sunday, pending availability. BAVC events and classes have priority use of the MPR. We recommend that you make your reservation at least several weeks in advance, especially if you would like to use the MPR during the weekend. Please account for set-up and clean-up time when you schedule your event.
The MPR is equipped with an HD projector and a complete sound system. BAVC will provide tables, chairs, extension cords, a TV/VCR unit, WiFi internet access and other equipment upon request. Please specify exactly what equipment and set up you will need when filling out the online reservation form. Please note BAVC cannot provide production equipment or support for personal equipment.
You may use the hallway directly outside of the MPR for extra table space. Other areas in the BAVC facility may not be used for your event unless explicitly cleared with the BAVC staff scheduler.
Food and beverages, including alcohol, are allowed, unless youth will be present in the facility, in which case alcohol is not allowed. Check with the BAVC staff scheduler to see if youth classes will be going on at the time of your event.
BAVC staff will be available during your event to assist in any technical issue you are having with BAVC equipment. There will also be a BAVC staff member at the front desk to buzz people in from downstairs and then direct them to your event. You are responsible for all other staffing needs before, during, and after your event. This includes promotion and advertising, preparation of event materials, and clean-up.
The MPR is 500 square feet. Maximum occupancy is 40 persons.
Access and Cost:
Members at the Producers Bundle ($125) level and higher receive the benefit of once-a-month free access to the MPR for up to four hours, pending availability. After four hours, a $75/hour fee will be charged. Payment is due upon reservation.
BAVC Fiscal Sponsorees who have a current BAVC membership at the Mediamaker ($55) level may use the MPR free of charge twice annually for up to four hours, after which they will be charged the $75/hour fee.
A $100 clean-up fee will be charged to any renter who does not leave the MPR in the same condition as that in which it was rented. This fee will be charged at BAVC's discretion.
Reservations can be cancelled 24 hours or more ahead without charge. Reservations cancelled without 24 hours notice and no-shows will lose their free access to the MPR for one month.
