October is anti-bullying awareness month and the San Francisco District Attorney’s office is presenting Bye Bye Bullying,  a video contest for middle school and high school students.

Cyberbullying is a serious problem affecting 52% of the students in the U.S.  It involves using technology, like smart phones and the Internet, to bully or harass another person.  To recognize Anti-Bullying Awareness Month, the Women’s Steering Committee of the San Francisco District Attorney’s office announces the second video contest for students to address cyberbullying and harassment. The purpose of the contest is to encourage youth to discuss cyberbullying more openly and develop positive responses to cyberbullying.

SF Commons and BAVC Media are supporting the contest by offering students access to free photo and video equipment rentals and low cost video production workshops.
