How did you first hear about BAVC Media?

Oakland School for the Arts

Tell us your BAVC Media story.

I attended BUMP records in 2011 during my 11th grade year in high school and it changed my life. I always knew I wanted to do music, but I never knew how. I couldn’t get studio time, there’s a lot of shady people who will use a young woman to get her into the studio and so BUMP gave me my first start in a safe space. I was able to dedicate my time and energy to a project that was my own and prove to everyone who said I couldn’t that I could because at my graduation I had an album of my own that I was able to give to my idol and prove to her and everyone that I’m serious about my craft and I love what I do. I haven’t stopped making music to this day. And I intend to become a professional and give back when it is my time for those coming after me. Thank you BUMP, Thank You BAVC Media.
