Ensuring that our customers receive equipment functioning at its highest level is our top priority. The Audio Visual Quality Control Technician position is an extremely important position in our company. Your responsibility would initially be to inspect, clean, and prep of all types of video, lighting, and audio-visual equipment. As an Audio Visual Quality Control Technician you will perform duties to check in and out audio visual equipment, load and unload trucks, return product to inventory and assist with any range of warehouse operations to track inventory and fulfill customer orders, working within the limits of prescribed routines. This position will also perform duties to pull, stage, set up, test and prepare audio visual equipment for shipment, working within the limits of standard or accepted practice.

  • Cleaning, testing, and maintaining our large inventory of equipment.
  • Troubleshoot problems associated with audio visual equipment.
  • Diagnose and correct system problems.
  • Preparing equipment orders for customers.
  • Unloading trucks, processing returns and performing initial inspections of rental equipment and incoming shipments.
  • Review and update information in our enterprise rental application.
  • Researching and purchasing parts, perform minor repairs to equipment in-house.
  • Processing repairs to be sent out to manufacturer or third party repair center.
  • Collaborating with staff and management with in-house projects and methods to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Helping with daily duties such as cleaning and organizing warehouse space, as well as helping with opening and closing procedures.
  • Sort and place equipment or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards.
  • Assist in annual & monthly inventory process.
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping warehouse shelves, pallet area, and Quality Control work stations neat.
  • Effectively manage all required paperwork.
  • Assist with other duties as needed.
  • Strong attention to detail and focus on quality.
  • Must be able to work a flexible work schedule, which includes nights, weekends, and early mornings.
  • Ability to prioritize work in a dynamic and fast paced work environment.
  • Ability to follow procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; able to communicate well and problem-solve.

  • Inventory, equipment maintenance, data entry and computer skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in an AV production environment preferred
  • Prior experience operating a forklift preferred (will train and certify)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
