INDEPENDENT DOCUMENTARY FILMMAKERS
SEEK CROWD-FUNDING INTERNS

Are you interesting in helping a timely social issue film reach its audience? Or developing marketing, publicity, fundraising, and new media skills?

PatchWorks Films (www.patchworksfilms.net) is a San Francisco-based production and distribution company run by veteran filmmakers, Marcia Jarmel and Ken Schneider. We make documentaries that explore contemporary social issues via intimate character stories, while forming innovative partnerships with key stakeholders in those social issues.

Our upcoming film, “The Factory” tells the contemporary story of a Havana-based Afro-Cuban hip hop star struggling to keep his vision alive in Cuba, a country on the cusp of change.

We are looking for interns to help with our winter crowdfunding effort. The internships will focus on outreach, social media, and publicity. This is a time-limited opportunity, 8-10 hours a week, from January 1, 2016- March 15, 2016. A small stipend is available upon internship completion.

We are seeking creative, energetic, and dedicated people who want to be bring their ideas and enthusiasm to the PatchWorks’ team. Please send your RESUME along with a LETTER addressing, why you would like to work on “The Factory” campaign and what you hope to achieve in an internship. Please include contact information for 2 references too. If you have any ideas or suggestions for the campaign, we’d love to hear about those as well.

College credit possible; please ask at your school.
No phone calls, please.
Please send your application via email to info@patchworksfilms.net.

Many thanks.
