'B Free Families’ is a 30-second commercial contest.  It seeks to leverage the talents of California aspiring and professional filmmakers to promote hepatitis B awareness, the leading cause of liver cancer.  California is the state with the highest number of hep B cases in the U.S., and most people were unknowingly infected at birth due to mother-to-child transmission.  Communities most impacted are those from or with parents from Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa, Middle East, and parts of Eastern Europe and South America.
