Academy of Art University is hiring a part-time Music Lab Technician to support the School of Music Production & Sound Development for Visual Media this Summer 2019 (now – August 14th).

Responsibilities 

Responsibilities include:

Supervise music department labs and monitor classrooms
Check students in and out of labs
Check out and track equipment used by students and Instructors (microphones, headphones, cables and other audio equipment)
Troubleshoot the department’s Mac computers and assist students and Instructors with issues related to department computers and audio software
Troubleshoot audio hardware

Qualifications 

Requirements:

Must be able to effectively operate Mac OS X, Pro Tools, Logic Pro X, and Ableton Live.
Possess familiarity with Sibelius and game audio (Wwise, fmod, Unity) is a plus.
Previous audio engineering and/or music production experience.
Must have prior professional customer service experience and be able to assist a diverse population of students and faculty.
