Join a small, dynamic and dedicated team building an ambitious new creative center for Bay Area filmmakers. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in cinema and filmmaking; a passion for spotlighting underrepresented voices in cinema; and an enthusiasm for inclusivity and organization.

This will start as a part-time, remote position, with occasional in-person meetings. The candidate should be based in the East Bay or the greater San Francisco Bay Area. As conditions improve, we may consider meeting in person for working sessions, with Covid precautions in place.

Hours: 10-12 hours per week with potential for more hours as needed based on the project’s progress.

Rate: $35/hour

Start date: Negotiable

Responsibilities 

Project management
Facilitating communication between team members
Creating and maintaining timelines
Tracking budget and expenses
Administrative tasks
Scheduling and organizing meetings and Zoom calls
Drafting emails
Helping to write grant proposals
Reporting to funders
Establishing and maintaining databases
Research, as needed

Qualifications 

Our ideal candidate:
Has a working knowledge of filmmaking;
Has experience with logistics and operations;
Is organized and comfortable creating systems;
Can responsibly manage multiple tasks;
Pays close attention to detail;
Has smooth and professional communication skills in person, on the phone, and by email;
Has experience with fundraising and reporting to funders;
Takes initiative and is comfortable working both independently and with colleagues;
Has working knowledge of Google Suite
