Alexandria Bordas has spent the last eight years as a journalist working in newsrooms across the country - from the mountains of rural western North Carolina, to the coast of Miami, and most recently, in Santa Rosa. She obtained a graduate degree from Columbia University in 2017 and as a journalist has covered topics including publishing an award-winning series on the opioid epidemic, the difficulties of accessing mental health services and stories involving sexual assault allegations. She is a first-generation Cuban-American woman.
Alexandria Bordas is the Program Manager at Reel Stories. She oversees all filmmaking classes & panel discussions - virtual and in-person - as well as manages community partnerships. Alexandria supports the in-house teaching staff and interns. She hosts weekly Instagram Live interviews with female & non-binary filmmakers from across the world and teaches classes on the 'Art of the Interview' for documentary filmmakers.
