Melanie is a recent graduate from San Francisco State University with a degree in Broadcast Communication Arts and Latino Studies. Her ultimate goal is to give a platform for underrepresented communities to tell their stories. When Melanie is not at BAVC Media, she is scoping out coffee shops around the city or at a classic rock concert.

As BAVC Media’s Media Specialist, Melanie oversees the use and maintenance of BAVC Media’s media production equipment, ensures the effective operation of BAVC Media’s access lab, assists producers and provides general administrative and basic technical support to the SF Commons team as well as assist with BAVC Media Productions and Preservation projects.
