Equal parts film production, administrative work, and film and arts education, Sarah Gonzalez is a versatile media maker. Sarah has a BS in Radio-TV-Film production from the University of Texas at Austin and has worked on a variety of sets and productions for over the last 12 years including the Emmy-winning and Independent Spirit Award winning documentary, "Where Soldiers Come From". Being the product of a youth media program in San Antonio, TX at North East School of the Art, Sarah has focused on helping youth through media ever since. She has also shot photography since her teens and has experimented with film and digital. Some of the institutions that she has taught at include Austin Film Society, Reel Women, the Griffin School, Cinemakids, Camp La Junta, Femme Film Texas, and University of Texas-Austin and currently the Bay Area Video Coalition teaching the advanced filmmaking program, The Factory. She also currently does freelance producing and editing for different Bay Area companies. Sarah is a filmmaker, photographer, music lover, movie enthusiast, knitter, cyclist, organic gardener and lover of all cat videos.
