Sophie Garcia is a BAVC Media alum born and raised in San Francisco. Growing up working with local small business and nonprofits, they discovered the power of narrative in social media and campaign strategy. As a professional astrologer and emerging filmmaker with a photography background they seek to reflect their subjects’ truth and beauty by creating room for trust and vulnerability. By connecting people to resources whether in the digital landscape or face to face, Sophie aims to restore the collective hope and access to information interrupted by colonial atrocities. Sophie’s also currently working as a resident astrologer at Resonance Network and a community design advocate for their local Portland libraries.

Sophie is creating consistent, original content for BAVC Media’s social media accounts. Sophie ensures brand consistency in copy, design, and video across channels. Sophie supports the Marketing team in fostering connections with community partners via campaigns and cross-promotional content.
