We are a “gorilla” style video production team looking for reliable and talented camera operators for a series of live-streamed auto races at local tracks, including Sonoma Raceway, Thunderhill, Laguna Seca, and one other venue further south.

This is a non-paid event, but it comes with significant benefits. We’re aiming to build a strong crew to ensure we produce high-quality, consistent content that demonstrates our capabilities to the race association. With success, we’ll seek funding to pay operators in the future.

To date we set up as static cameras, and start chasing down someone in the pits, Tom’s girlfriend, and say “here you are at turn 2, do this and go”. Sometimes met with success and sometimes not. I have not as yet be afforded a budget that has allowed me to pay a cam op scale.
I am looking to change that.

There are 3-4 races on the schedule, roughly one each month, where, if I can assemble a crew of reliable, talented, and consistent camera operators who can get the quality needed, I can show the race association why we need you, and this is what it’s going to cost, I believe the purse strings will loosen.

What We’re Looking For Skills: Reliable, talented individuals with a keen eye for composition. Must be able to take direction and recall specific tasks. A love for or interest in racing will enhance your experience. Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old, as you may be near the race action where the general public is not allowed.

Compensation: At present, I can’t offer financial compensation, but we will cover your travel expenses to the track and provide meals during the event.

The Vision/Plan
By assembling a talented and dedicated crew, I aim to produce a quality show so I can chase advertisers and shop it around to the multitude of race venues and fill the season calendar with a race every weekend of the season.
