Brittney Réaume is the Associate Director of Artist Development at BAVC Media. She manages BAVC Media’s programs for independent filmmakers across the U.S., most notably the BAVC MediaMaker Fellowship for early-career documentary directors and the suite of complementary filmmaker support initiatives.

Brittney has stepped into a variety of positions and responsibilities at BAVC Media since she joined the staff in 2014. Previously, she managed marketing, creative strategy, and communications. Brittney was also BAVC Media’s, Operations Manager for almost 4 years. She recently relocated back home to the Pacific Northwest and works remotely in Portland, Oregon, when she is not traveling with the MediaMaker Fellows.

Brittney holds a BFA in Film, Video, and Integrated Media, with a minor in Social Practice and Community Engagement, from Emily Carr University in Vancouver, BC. In recent years she has been a volunteer grant writer at Portland’s Sincere Studio, a volunteer staff member at San Francisco’s Artists’ Television Access, a curatorial Board Member for the Great Wall of Oakland and a volunteer at film festivals up and down the West Coast.

Brittney is a home cook, moviegoer, sewist, nature enthusiast, and travel guide. She lives with her partner and their two cats. In addition to independent film, Brittney is passionate about sustainability, climate justice, and regenerative economies.
