Brittney Réaume
Associate Director, Artist Development
Brittney Réaume is a manager of creative projects and programs who works with filmmakers, nonprofits, and people who are building the future they want to see. She believes in the nourishing power of community, place, nature, food, film, and design. She is dedicated, in her career and free time, to supporting the creation, distribution, and appreciation of good and interesting films.
Brittney has stepped into a variety of positions and responsibilities at BAVC Media since she joined the staff in March of 2014. Currently, she leads artist development efforts alongside Director Dawn Valadez. Brittney manages BAVC Media’s programs for independent filmmakers, most notably the BAVC MediaMaker Fellowship for early-career documentary directors and the suite of complementary filmmaker support initiatives.
Previously, Brittney managed marketing, creative strategy, and communications for BAVC Media’s 7+ public programs, both alone and in tandem. Brittney was also BAVC Media’s, Operations Manager for almost 4 years.
Brittney holds a BFA in Film, Video, and Integrated Media, with a minor in Social Practice and Community Engagement, from Emily Carr University in Vancouver, BC. She recently relocated back to the Pacific Northwest and primarily works remotely but she spends several weeks a year in the San Francisco Bay Area and at Film Festivals across the country with the MediaMaker Fellowship.
