Mindy Aronoff calls herself a Fairy Godmother because she likes to grant wishes. She currently focuses on Registered Apprenticeship.
Mindy was hired at BAVC Media the old-fashioned way, as a 40-year old intern. Prior to that, she ran a series of gallery/frameshops in San Francisco, Lake Tahoe, and Placerville, CA. She has a degree in Design from UCLA and once worked as a bartender on a cruise ship in Hawaii.
She co-designed TechSF with the City of SF, has helped hundreds of job seekers find work, and was selected to head the regional working group at the Aspen Institute Communities That Work Partnership. She was BAVC Media’s liaison to KQED for “Spark” and ITVS’ point of contact for finishing “Independent Lens” projects. She oversaw scores of executive productions for nonprofits including one produced for The Asia Foundation’s 50th anniversary that was shot in 8 Asian countries.
Relocated in Tucson, AZ, Mindy builds garden totems, breeze block walls, and stays feisty by gargling Tabasco.
